Founded in 2003 under the creative vision of Yogi Proctor in partnership with Cairo Foster the brand achieved cult status amongst core skateboarders of that generation. Originally launched through Giant Skateboard Distribution, the strong visual direction and messaging, supported by a tight group of professional skateboarders (friends) the brand established itself quickly during the early 2000’s. 20 years on, the art direction remains relevant and the pro riders still command respect. Popwar embodies what skateboarding means to me. It was a lifetime opportunity to build something with those closest to me at a pivotal time in my life and career. Bringing it back with the support of Sidewalk’s Heritage program is an exciting new chapter for the brand. - Cairo Foster
